The Alenda Lux: Symposium will be held on May 4th, 2017. The day-long symposium will celebrate your research and creative work in poster sessions, short film presentations, and performances in a variety of campus venues.
This event replaces the multiple ‘poster fairs’ that have been held in the past.
The first step is to submit an application to participate; applications are due April 7, 2017. The application includes a title and an abstract (around 200 words), and asks you to choose a division. If your poster is an interdisciplinary project, choose the division that fits best. If you want more information on how to write an abstract, here’s a reference; a sample can be found here.
The second step is to prepare your poster; poster submission is due April 27, 2017. Instructions and templates for making and printing posters can be found at posters.davidson.edu. Plan to submit posters at least 4 business days prior to the date that you need them.
The third step is to collect your poster from Central Services (at the Union, post office) and hang your poster up prior to the start of your session as described on the schedule.
